Three's Programme - Nursery

Three's Programme - Nursery
At this age, children are able to solve simple problems and puzzles and may even have learnt to recognize alphabet, numbers and basic concepts. Playing becomes more illustrative and creative, with jigsaws, flash cards and plasticine, providing essential mental stimulations.

Activities:
A typical day of a 3 year old begins with Morning Prayer “Gayatri Mantra” followed by an exercise whereby each child is given massive stage exposure where he or she is asked to be at the podium and introduce himself or herself in a clear manner so that any stage fright is nipped at the bud at this stage and the child becomes more confident and stands out in the crowd.

Further oral interaction includes rhyme recitation, oral rendition of numbers and alphabets, discussion and debate.

Child initiated activities include cutting and pasting, paper folding, drawing, painting, paper tearing and pasting, dance and music.

The written work is taken up at such a time of the day when the children are most receptive to learning. This is followed by any outdoor activity such as karate, tennis, pottery or splash pool depending upon the schedule of the week.
